New York City’s Margaret Glaspy crafts searing, captivating, guitar-driven pop songs, wielding a silver tongue and an electric guitar. Her raw sound draws heavily from Elliott Smith to Joni Mitchell. Glaspy is poised for a big year in 2016, having cut her debut album at the legendary Sear Sound. The album was mixed by Shawn Everett (Alabama Shakes, Lucius). These 12 tracks present an artist who has arrived – intricate, unique rock songs underscored by “hot barbs of electric guitar” (Rolling Stone).

This album is realy well done. Margaret Glaspey's voice is an arresting one that stopped me dead in my tracks at her first note. What I really like is that she doesn't sound like anyone else that I've ever heard. If anything I think people will soon use Margaret to describe what others sound like. Her guitar is as grungy as it is smooth and I love all the vibe-e old school vacum tube technology and analogue mojo that I hear on this record.. It all comes through nicely on the digital versions but if you have the luxury of vinyl by all means spin this on your turntable you'll be glad you did..
